Columbine Victims→Dave Sanders

For 25 years, William Dave Sanders had worked as a computer and business teacher at Columbine High School, as well as being coach of the female softball and basketball teams.

After hearing the gunshots outside of the school, Sanders made his way to the cafeteria and signalled the alarm. He and a couple other of the school’s janitors proceeded by directing as many students as possible away from the shooters.

While continuing his efforts to keep the students safe on the upstairs hall, Sanders was shot from behind by Eric Harris.

It was then in the science lab that Sanders bled to his fate. Deidra Kucera, a student at Columbine, placed a sign in the classroom window that read: “1 BLEEDING TO DEATH.”

Despite, the attempts to save him by fellow students, Dave Sanders passed away three hours later. His lasts words reportedly being: “Tell my family I love them.”

Patti Nielson, along with a student and the library staff, hear Dylan and Eric shout in unison, ”One, two, three!” followed by gunfire.

Eric, put his beloved Arlene in his mouth and fired, blowing out his brain stem and the entire left side of his face off. Death is instant.

Dylan, put the gun up to his left temple and fired. He was alive long enough for blood to aspirate into his lungs, where he then died from his head injury.

Fourteen lay dead, one teacher dying in a classroom where he would later succumb to his injuries.

The killings at Columbine High School are over.

A moment of silence, for all 15 victims that died today 14 years ago. We will never forget.

The date is April 20th, 1999. The time is 11:45 a.m

The two wander around the school for 32 more minutes, firing their guns and setting off bombs but injuring no one further. They both walk to the cafeteria and try to set of the propane bombs, which were unsuccessful. Dylan lit a Molotov cocktail, and threw it in the direction of the propane bomb. It explodes, detonating a part of the propane bomb, which caused a small fire. It was eventually put out by the sprinklers in the cafeteria.
They return up the stairs at 11:58 a.m.

The two return to the library at 12:02 p.m. All students except for Patrick Ireland and Lisa Kruetz have been evacuated. The shooters open fire from the window to the police below who open fire back.

The date is April 20th, 1999. The time is 11:29 a.m.

Patti Nielson, still on the phone with 911 hears Eric and Dylan enter the library.

The library massacre.

The two scream for “Everybody to get up!”
When no one did, Eric fired at a table, which injured Evan Todd, the student underneath. As the two walked the row of library computers, Dylan encountered Kyle Velasquez, who had curled up on a computer instead of hiding. He shot him in the back and head, killing him.
Walking to the window, both noticed police where evacuating students. They shot at the cops, whom returned fire.

Dylan turned around, and began to fire shots at a table, injuring Patrick Ireland and two other students with him. Eric grabbed his shotgun and began to walk the rows, firing a single shot underneath each desk without looking. One shot hits Steven Curnow in the neck, and kills him.

Eric still walking around, slaps a table twice on the top, and kneels down encountering Cassie Bernal. He says “Peek a boo” and shoots her in the head. She dies instantly. The recoil of the gun hits Eric in the face, breaking his nose, causing him to bleed heavily.

As Eric goes around taunting all the students, Dylan notices Patrick Ireland trying to aid Makai Hall, a student who was injured by a bullet to the knee. Dylan shoots Ireland in the foot once, and in the head twice causing Ireland to be knocked unconscious.

Dylan walked towards another set of tables where, Isaiah Shoels, Matthew Ketcher and Craig Scott where hidden underneath. As Eric came over, both began to mock Isaiah. Eric knelt down and shot Shoels in the chest at close range killing him instantly. Dylan also knelt down, and opened fire on Matthew, shooting him in the chest. He also dies instantly. Craig Scott, covered in the blood of his friends, fakes death, as Eric and Dylan leave.

As Dylan walked between the book cases, he turned and opened fire on a nearby table injuring Mark Kintgen. As he fires in a different direction, the same bullet Lisa Kruetz and Valeen Schnurr. He moves toward the table and fires once more, shooting and killing Lauren Townsend.
As he walked away, Valeen, seriously injured in the abdomen and chest, began to scream out “Oh God, help me!” Dylan returned and asked her, if she believed in God. She replied yes, then no, trying to appease with Dylan. He asked her why, and she replied “It is what my family believes.” As he stood up, Dylan exclaimed “God is gay.” and began to fire in the opposite direction.

Eric moved towards a different table, where he fired underneath twice, shooting Nicole Nowlen and John Tomlin. As Tomlin tried to escape from under the table, Dylan kicked him. Eric and Dylan, laughing at his failed attempt, shot him repeatedly, killing him.
As Eric turned around, he spotted Kelly Fleming, who had sat next to the table, rather than underneath it, due to there not being enough room. Eric opened fire on her, hitting her in the back, and killing her instantly.

As the walked towards the middle of the library to reload their guns, Eric noticed a student hiding nearby and demanded for him to identify himself. Crawling from under the table, John Savage said his name and asked Dylan what they were doing. “Oh just killing people.” He replied. After asking if they were going to kill him, Dylan hesitated and told him to leave. Savage fled through the libraries main entrance.

As Savage left, Eric turned around and fired his gun beneath a table, grazing the ear of Daniel Mauser. Eric fired again, this time hitting Daniel in the face, killing him instantly. Both then started walking around shooting underneath the tables again. Harris opened fire, and hit Corey DePooter in the neck and back. He is the last to die in the library massacre.
The time is 11:35 a.m.

Dylan claimed that they no longer found fun in shooting the victims and joked that they should go around “knifing people.” As his nose bled heavily, Eric decided that they should leave the library. As they left, Dylan shot at a computer and crashed a chair on top of the desk where Patti Nielson was still hiding.
The time is 11:36 a.m.

Patti Nielson, a teacher, had heard the gun shots outside and was on her way to tell the students to quit, when Eric and Dylan shot out both the windows that were in front of her. Nielson, injured by the flying glass and shrapnel, dialed 911 and ran into the library where she hid behind the administrative desk.

In the cafeteria, coach Dave Sanders had evacuated all the students from the room, he and a student walked up a flight of stairs to the second floor of the school onto the Library Hallway. As they walked down the hallway, the two encountered Eric and Dylan. As they turned around and ran away, Eric and Dylan opened fire, shooting Dave in chest twice, but missing the student. A teacher in the science department let them into his classroom where 30 other students hid. They tried to cut off his blood loss, and alerted the authorities of Sanders condition by putting a sign up in the window. All students were evacuated safely, but Sanders died that day at 3:00 p.m. He was the only teacher killed in the massacre.

Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold remove their guns beneath their trench coats and begin to fire upon their classmates.

Rachel Scott, is hit four times and dies instantly, while her friend Richard Castaldo is shot and paralyzed.

Daniel Rohrbough, Lance Kirklin, and Sean Graves are hit by Klebold’s bullets as he fires upwards. Sean Graves manages to crawl through the cafeteria doorway but collapses. As Dylan ascends the stairs, he shoots Kirklin in the face, which critically wounds him. Rohrbough, is shot by Dylan once more in the chest at close range, instantly killing him.
